First Federal customers are reminded that they should never provide account numbers, PINs, or security codes over the phone to anyone claiming to be from First Federal.

Numerous area banks’ customers have recently reported that they have received automated phone messages asking them to provide information about their debit card because the card has been blocked or compromised. These phone messages are not from 1st Federal. At this time it appears these fraudulent phone calls are a mass auto-dialing effort to randomly hit area Bank customers in local telephone exchanges, There does not appear to be any type of customer privacy breach at First Federal.

We will never send you an email, text message, or voice mail message requesting your personal or account information (such as social security numbers, account numbers or PINs).

Customers are urged to contact First Federal immediately if they have given out their card number, account number or PIN information over the telephone in response to a phone call, voicemail or telemarketer. First Federal can be reached by phone at 217-235-5411.
